Free Idea For Travel Sites

Now that many airlines charge fees for checking a bag, travel sites like Kayak, Sidestep, Orbitz, Priceline, Hotwire and Travelocity should consider including an option that allows travelers to see how bag fees might impact a customer’s overall rate.
While the check-bag fees tend to be little more than an annoyance, there are times when these fees can add tremendous costs to travel, like when traveling with children or for an extended holiday. For example, if checking a second bag, many airlines charge $50 or more for each leg of the trip. Yikes!
In an effort to be as transparent as possible, customers should have the opportunity to see the total costs of travel – including all possible fees – prior to completing a purchase.
